The Association is located in the historic Shaw Lodge Mills complex in Halifax, a magnificent group of Grade ll* listed mill buildings that form the perfect backdrop to our new Skills Centre. Dating from 1830 to 1880, the buildings are considered of national importance, representing one of the largest surviving examples of a nineteenth century mill complex. Built from locally quarried sandstone but with a wealth of Italianate architectural features so typical of the era, they provide the perfect setting and an inspiration for both our permanent members and visiting students.
